Novel Insights’ May Review

May has been a bit of a mixed bag of reading for me what with Persephone books, murders in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil & Red April and a bit of Sci-fi too!

My top three favourite reads in May were:

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, by John Berendt – 9/10

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, John Boyne – 8/10

The Far Cry, by Emma Smith – 7.5 / 10

  1. How was Midnight in the garden of goos and evil? I’ve always been intrigued with this book.

    I also quite liked Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, The Messenger and Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. The Far Cry sounds very interesting, will look out for it.

    My favorite book read in may was probably The Voluptuous Delights of Peanut Butter and Jam. Hope to have the review up soon.
