A Special Gift

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was lucky to get some lovely book-related presents this Christmas, including some beautiful shelves made by my Dad. So now that they are installed with my upcoming TBR’s I thought I’d share…

Handmade from Italian alder, English oak and African bubinga. I just think they’re wonderful.

  1. Oh you’re so lucky! It’s beautiful. I wish my dad were a carpenter/bookshelf-maker. As it is, he’s a technician. Not too bad to have around the house too. 😉

  2. What a lovely present to receive! Very nice!

  3. Oh I adore that, I could do with several of those around the house, wouldnt that be great! Especially in my spare room for when Gran comes to stay.

  4. That’s the most lovely little shelf and what a nice, cozy place for those reading buddies of yours. What volumes are those on the shelf? They look like some very nice hardbacks.

  5. Beautiful shelves, but I think I might be a little bit in love with that bunny rabbit! He’s adorable. 🙂
